Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Multimedia Services (EMMS), the Multimedia Technicians works within Enterprise IT providing AudioVisual services, including onsite, hybrid and remote meetings and events at all campuses.The Multimedia Technician supports the selection, installation and maintenance of EMMS equipment and also provides resources and training for community members to ensure successful technology usage.
Technology Selection, Installation and Maintenance
• Successfully configures, maintains, operates and troubleshoots problems for Enterprise Multimedia Services equipment including audio equipment, displays, video/data projectors, teleconferencing, video conferencing and webcasting audio and video equipment, control systems, and portable AV systems..
• Responsible for contributing to the selection, implementation, maintenance, and life cycle planning for audiovisual and multimedia technologies
• Conducts audio/video installation of digital audio consoles missing/mastering/video signal flows
• Maintains meeting venues to ensure required supplies are available ensures audiovisual equipment is fully operational.
• Researches and consults on media production, collaborative technologies, and event coordination for Multimedia Services clients.
Event Technology Support Services
• Responsible for providing technically live events, including planning, designing AV solutions, delivery, pre-event meetings, testing, dry-run sessions and post-production for complex in person, virtual, and hybrid events and meetings.
• Collaborates with team members, clients, and presenters regarding all event details pre/post and during the production process. Performs operational administrative tasks including requirements gathering for meetings, documentation, support for multimedia computers, support for guest networking and basic support for IT Operations.
• Provides post-production services, deliverables and event recordings. Non-linear video and audio editing, graphics, presentations, etc.
Administrative Reporting & Documentation
• Provide management with improvement briefings on meetings/events/project status which support team, EIT, and al other goals and missions.
• Collects and submits necessary measurements and key performance indicators to measure and track user satisfaction over time.
Training, Documentation & Communications
• Fully documents all meeting rooms and event spaces technologies such that end users can use the rooms without assistance in as many cases as possible.
• Provide consultation, documentation, and training for all meeting rooms technologies such that users are able to utilize the room’s equipment without assistance as much as possible. Provide regular check-ins to ensure the systems are functioning properly and address any issues.
• Establish clear lines of communication with users providing regular updates while being available to answer questions and concerns.
• Responsible for keeping other members of the Enterprise Multimedia Team fully informed of activities, meetings, events, procedures, schedule, projects within EMMS at all times, including changes ongoing or incidental.
• Training of new Enterprise Multimedia Team members to include contractors, students, etc.

• Skilled in: In-person and hybrid events requiring technical skills in live streaming, virtual event platforms, installation, configuration, integration, operation, monitoring, networking fundamentals, maintenance and troubleshooting of multimedia systems and collaboration technologies.
• Skilled in video and audio production – production, direction, camera operation, sound engineering, lighting and staging.
• Skilled in video and audio post-production – non-linear editing competency, media production applications.
• Skilled in event planning and having the ability to develop an event from start to finish while anticipating potential challenges with a high demand for attention to details and time sensitivity
• Knowledge of multimedia system protocols.
• Skilled in cross-platform computers operating systems and administration of computers with multimedia systems administration
