Suburban Subaru is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Manager to join our team in Vernon. As the Used Car Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales of high-quality pre-owned vehicles and ensuring a smooth and successful sales process. This is a full-time position in the fast-paced and dynamic auto industry where you will have the opportunity to earn a competitive salary through a base plus commission structure.
Responsibilities include acquiring, managing, and marketing inventory, ensuring reconditioning promptly and to our standards. The qualified individual will be competent in appraising, buying, selling, and wholesaling. Experience with vAuto, online and in-person auctions, good communication skills, verbal, written, and electronic. The candidate will have excellent customer service skills and attention to detail with the ability to lead, train and follow.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive compensation package between $125,000 to $150,000 per year. The position also includes a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and potential for advancement within the company.
Ideal Candidate will be able to:
• Manage and oversee the sales of used vehicles, ensuring that sales goals are met or exceeded monthly
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Recruit, train, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
• Work with the finance department to secure financing for customers and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and lot to enhance the customer experience
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate with other departments and management to ensure the overall success of the dealership
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and market competition to make strategic decisions regarding inventory, pricing, and promotions
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Proficient in using sales software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
