We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven Automotive Technician. Our ideal candidate will be able to perform light repairs, such as CV axle, brakes, suspension, and steering components. You will be led and helped by a lead technician and also 40-year Automotive Technician who spends time each week at all of our locations. This will allow you to continue to build upon your mechanical and technical skills. Compensation:$17 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:- Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs
- Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships
- Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems
- Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes
- Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes
- Stellar customer service and communications skills are mandatory
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must have completed a post-secondary training program in automotive service technology; associate degree a plus
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired
