Responsibilities for Automotive Technician
- Properly document the condition of a vehicle at arrival
- Ensure the vehicle is safely and securely positioned on lift for diagnostics
- Perform all assigned points of inspection
- Faithfully report the condition of vehicle parts
- Determine priority of repair
- Consult with the service team to complete an estimate for the customer
- Maintain a personal complement of tools to be used to service vehicles
- Keep detailed logs of all parts, fluids, and hours associated with each project
