POSITION TITLE: Lubrication Technician
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Service Manager
PURPOSE:
Perform repairs and/or maintenance to vehicles as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
„„ Perform assigned vehicle repairs to the standards of the factory and dealership specifications. Obtain
clearance from Service Manager whenever this cannot be done.
„„ Test and check all repairs and road test all comebacks and other repairs as directed by the Assistant
Service Manager and Service Manager.
„„ Inform dispatcher when job is started, finished, or interrupted. Be particularly attentive to ROs on vehicles
marked “RUSH” or “CUSTOMER WAITING” and keep shop foreman and dispatcher informed of
progress.
„„ Solicit help of Service Manager in performing diagnosis.
„„ Follow factory and dealership repair procedures when performing warranty work. Save and tag warranty
parts for storage.
„„ Return customers’ cars in clean condition with seats, radios, mirrors, and convenience items returned
to original positions. DO NOT smoke in customers cars.
„„ Plan for most efficient movements when relocating cars and securing parts.
„„ Follow dealership procedures when obtaining parts.
„„ Recommend needed repairs or maintenance on customer cars to Shop Foreman and/or Service Advisor
when appropriate.
OTHER DUTIES:
„„ Be familiar with technical bulletins; suggest training needs to Shop Foreman and participate in training
programs that are offered.
„„ Keep work area clean, free of clutter, and neat in appearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
