Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and customer service, with the ability to effectively manage a team and provide exceptional service to our customers. As an Automotive Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our service department, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Schedule and assign work orders to technicians, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of all service transactions, including invoices, work orders, and customer information
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive repair and service writing
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Proven leadership abilities with the capability to effectively manage a team
- Proficient in cash handling procedures
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Skills:
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a dealership is a plus
