Service Writer
Duties:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Generate repair orders and provide detailed explanations of recommended services
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Provide estimates for Automotive Services and obtain customer approval
- Coordinate with parts department to ensure necessary parts are ordered and available for repairs
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
Skills:
- Automotive service knowledge, including understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in computer systems and software used for generating repair orders and invoices
- Cash handling experience is preferred
