Job Summary
GeneralDefinitionofWork:
Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for performing semi-skilled supportive work for supply and logistics functions. This position is budgeted part-time, 30 hour per week.
Job Responsibilities

- Transports fleet vehicles and equipment for maintenance requirements to external agencies.
- Travels to various retail and commercial vendors for acquisition of parts, supplies, and materials required to support maintenance activities.
- Verifies correct make, model, and type of parts, supplies, and materials is provided.
- Responsible for the inventory and stock levels of parts, equipment, and bench stock.
- Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to use computers for the Inventory and Work Order Management System. Ability to learn and apply the established division safety procedures. The ability to maintain productive working relationships with fellow work team members and users of vehicles and equipment. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to develop and maintain good people skills.
Physical Requirements
This is heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally with the assistance of others or tools, up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities, the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions and oils.
Education, Experience and Special Requirements
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and the demonstrated ability to perform the tasks as described.
