Monday – Friday (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
Job Description & Duties:
- Addresses online inquiries from consumers, ensuring the dealership achieves its highest profit potential on Internet sales, adhering to dealership standards.
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy by comparing identifying information and inspecting items against relevant documentation.
- Determine the optimal method of shipment, drawing on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Affix shipping labels or use stenciling equipment to mark pertinent information on packed cartons.
- Assemble wooden or cardboard containers as necessary, or select preassembled containers based on requirements.
- Insert items into containers, utilizing spacers, fillers, and protective padding to ensure secure packaging.
- Secure containers by nailing covers on wooden crates or binding them with metal tape using a strapping machine.
- Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
- Record weights, shipping charges, and affix postage to ensure accurate documentation.
- Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items and documenting shortages; communicate with the shipper to address damages and shortages.
- Route items to respective departments as needed.
- Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specified requirements.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate tier-lift truck or hand truck as required to move shipments from the shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work areas.
- Provide guidance to others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments as necessary.
- Focus on either shipping or receiving activities, assuming the role of Shipping Clerk or Receiving Clerk accordingly.
- Handle the receipt of damaged or defective goods returned to the establishment, holding the title of Returned-Goods Receiving Clerk.
- Manage the receipt of unsold products returned by a DRIVER, SALES ROUTE, designated as a Route Returner.
- Participate in all available VIP University training programs and maintain a professional appearance.
- Pick up and deliver parts from the wholesale warehouse when required.
- Organize warehouse stock, ensuring placement in designated areas.
- Perform counterwork duties as needed.
