Job Summary
As a Protech Apprentice Technicians you will be provided mentorship and training to learn how to perform diagnostic and mechanical repairs under the supervision of an experienced technician. Role and Responsibilities
- Customer service focused, ability to develop relationships and deliver operational consistency
- Willingness to learn and multi-task in a fast- paced automotive environment
- Complete assigned training and certifications, to include continuing education courses
- Learn how to perform basic diagnostic, mechanical, programming and ADAS calibrations
- Gain administrative understanding in estimating, invoicing, part cost, pre and post quality control checklists
- Assist mentor technicians in day-to-day job duties
- Communicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Maintain a well-organized work area
- Test drive vehicles after repair and/or ADAS calibrations
- Self -motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused vision
- Accountable for assigned inventory (including laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, other equipment provided)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Desire to learn a skilled trade
- High school diploma or tech school graduate
- Automotive repair experience preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
- Self -motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused vision
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
- Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
- Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
- Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
- Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
- May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work in a shop or mobile environment during inclement weather
- Required to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves
