This position is primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and recovery activities on airport automated people mover (APM) systems within the limitations of standard methods and procedures.
2 weeks of paid training is included.
Starting pay for the Maintenance Technician is:
- 1st shift: $27.50 per hour
- 2nd shift: $29.56 per hour
- 3rd Shift: $30.25 per hour
Sat/Sun (8 hour shifts)- earn an extra 5% on top of current hourly rate!
You will also receive 12 days paid PTO days and 10 paid holidays
When You'll be Working (Shifts):
- 6am-2:30pm OR 2pm-1030pm OR 10pm-6am
- After 2 week training period you must be available for either ANY shift).
- Training will be on the 1st/2nd shifts and then you will be designated one of the 3 available shifts.

Here's What You'll Be Doing:
- Working from oral, written, or electronically generated instructions perform skilled preventive maintenance, operations, adjustments, corrections, repairs, diagnosis or modifications to a variety of electronic/electro-mechanical equipment and components found in the APM system.
- Utilize a variety of procedures, manuals, drawings and schematics to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair the APM systems and components.
- Utilize a variety of precision measuring equipment to test for defective wiring and connections, micrometers to check for excessive wear on component parts, and oscilloscopes/analyzers to troubleshoot, align, adjust, and calibrate circuits to effectively diagnose and repair systems.
- Document all activities regarding work performed on the systems.
Tools and Equipment used:
Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS), micrometers, oscilloscopes, analyzers, calipers, power tools and hand tools necessary to perform electro-mechanical and maintenance services.

Basic Qualifications:
Any type of automotive certification is a plus
Fluently in English
3 years in auto mechanic (or avionic) industry
Electrical or mechanical background, diesel, etc.
No CDL requirement
DOT Physical required
Must have Valid Drivers License
Weekends required
The Midtown Group offers 104 hours of PTO, accrued 8.675 per month to be used for (Sick/Holiday/Vacation)
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in electromechanical field required.
- Prior APM experience preferred.
- Knowledge of precise measuring instruments such as micrometers, oscilloscopes and analyzers required.
- Knowledge and experience in the analytical use of complicated written instructions, drawings and schematics.
- Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle, and have a satisfactory driving record.
- Must be able to secure and maintain airport security clearance.
- Must be able to pass post offer criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass post offer drug/alcohol test, physical exam and Ishihara test (Red Green).
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language fluently.
