Reports to: Shop Manager or Owner
Hours: Full-Time (Monday thru Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm)
Purpose & Objective:
The role of the B-Level Technician is very important as they perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs and services. They also perform the vital task of inspecting vehicles to find needed repairs and services which the sales team will sell to customers.
Job Responsibilities and Duties/Expectations:
Primary
· Accurately complete services and inspections on customers’ vehicles: Technicians are expected to be experts in their craft and to complete repairs, services, and inspections with excellence, integrity, precision, and extreme care.
· Partner with office staff to deliver on company sales goals with integrity: Technicians are expected to inspect each vehicle for any needed repairs or services, document their findings and recommendations, and when time permits, create an estimate for each recommendation.
· Quality Control: Perform quality control in accordance with company procedures and expectations.
Secondary
· Cleaning & Prep: To assist in keeping the shop area and tools clean, safe, free of debris and other hazards.
Additional responsibilities and duties may be necessary based on the needs of the business.

· A valid US driver's license, insurable on shop insurance policy, and ability to drive a vehicle with passengers
· Three years (preferred) of practical experience working as an automotive technician/mechanic in an automobile repair facility
· Proficient knowledge of passenger automobile workings and systems
· Proficient knowledge and skill in passenger automobile diagnostics using testing procedures to discover the cause (and repairs needed) to resolve customer concerns
· Proficient knowledge, ability, and skill in performing mechanical repairs and services on passenger automobiles including removing and installing of parts, and doing service procedures
· Perform thorough inspections on vehicles for the purpose of finding services and repairs needed, based on the miles and condition of the vehicle
· Communicate clearly in English with others verbally and in written forms (both hand-written communication and typed communication)
· Type efficiently and accurately on a computer keyboard or tablet
· Use shop computer software to access repair orders & repair instructions and diagrams, update repair orders, and create estimates (experience with Tekmetric is a bonus!)
· Lift 50lbs without assistance
· Stand for periods of 60 minutes or more at a time
· Perform basic math
· Perform major and fine motor skill movements using body to perform the necessary actions to complete a repair, service, vehicle inspection, or shop cleaning activity. This also includes the ability to reach overhead, push, pull, bend down, stoop, kneel and other major body movements
Paid time off:
Upon successful completion of a 90-day probation period, paid time off will include the following US holidays:
