Auto Damage Claims Adjuster

Auto Damage Claims Adjusters handle auto claims through the life-cycle including but not limited to: investigation, evaluation and claim resolution. The purpose of this position is to provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned claims, confirm coverage, and verify damages
• Take loss reports directly from insureds and/or claimants and/or their representatives
• Initiate initial claims handling
• Evaluate, setting and recommending reserves
• Negotiation and settlement of claims

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3 to 5 years of experience adjusting automobile physical damage and liability claims
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills via in person, on the phone, and in electronic interactions
• Excellent understanding and skill level of claim handling and customer service
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills
• VT and NH Property & Casualty adjusters license or the ability to obtain licensing preferred
• Commercial Lines experience a plus
