Green & Associates is a local CPA firm based in Fort Collins, Colorado with clients located throughout Colorado and Wyoming. The focus of G&A is audit, accounting and consulting services for governmental and non-profit organizations. We are currently looking for a CPA with 4+ years of current governmental audit experience. This is a hybrid position that will allow the ability to work remotely, however you must be able to be in the office or at the client’s location as needed. You will have the ability to build a fulfilling career while maintaining a work life balance. Travel is minimal however, on occasion overnight travel may be required. Work hours and time off are flexible and are determined based on the current workload. The position will work directly with the managing member of the firm and will also provide the candidate with opportunities to oversee engagements and be involved in all aspects of the firm. The position is designed to be a leadership opportunity and to elevate the right candidate into a partner level role within the firm and will provide opportunities for growth and to influence the direction of the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist and manage audit and accounting services.
- Plan and supervise the execution of all audit engagement activities.
- Communicate technical accounting and auditing matters, work with clients to implement new standards and work within the firm to keep up to date on technical matters and new pronouncements.
- Help design policies and procedures within the firm to ensure the most up to date audit procedures are implemented
- Interact with clients to ensure client satisfaction and the timely completion of engagements, and communicate findings and results of the audit to management.
- Prepare financial statements and related disclosures, workpapers, audit programs, etc.
- Reviewing and analyzing client internal controls.
- Identifying and resolving client issues.
- Present new ideas and improvements to current processes and tasks in order to achieve firm and departmental goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An undergraduate degree in accounting or related subject matter.
- Must possess a current CPA license in good standing
- 4 + years of current experience in governmental auditing.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients and throughout all levels of the firm.
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with audit related and other basic software. Strong Microsoft Excel experience is required.
- Ability to work in the office in Fort Collins or the client’s location as necessary.
Salary:
Pay range $80,000 - $110,000 plus revenue sharing opportunities, depending on experience and qualifications.
