Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial analysis and reporting. This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong financial acumen and expertise in accounting and auditing practices.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audits in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Review financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues
- Lead a team of auditors, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process
- Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
- Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings and recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements
- Utilize accounting software to analyze financial data and generate reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing or accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of financial services industry regulations and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis
- Experience with governmental accounting and regulatory reporting
- Excellent understanding of general ledger accounting principles
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in using accounting software for data analysis
