Job Description
We are seeking an Audit Associate for a direct hire/permanent role in Pasadena, CA.
In this role, you will:
- Initiate kickoff meeting with main client and determine timelines, goals and expectations of an engagement. You will work with a variety of industries like Commercial, Non-Profit organizations, and ERISA audits.
- Lead the engagement meeting with audit team members and share your knowledge from the client call. This is where you will set timelines, assign roles and determine goals for the audit.
- Conduct fraud interviews on an as-needed basis with CEO, accountants and other employees.
- Provide financial analysis upon completion of fieldwork in an effort to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Coach staff and train on areas of audit and collaborate on how to best handle aspects of the engagement.
- Review staff work, prepare high risk audit sections, and draft financial statements.
- Network, build relationships and attract new clients or business to the Firm.
- Attend training seminars, professional development and networking events.
- Bachelor's degree (accounting preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting audit work
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or a licensed CPA
Additional Information
This direct hire/permanent role will be located in the Pasadena, CA. This role can offer a hybrid or remote schedule for Pasadena and surrounding area residents, however, there will be occasional local travel to clients, so candidates local to the area are encouraged to apply. This role will offer a salary range between $80,000- $100,000 per year and offer benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage.
