DESCRIPTION
Responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) equipment. Will ensure that presentations, conferences, meetings, and other events run smoothly and effectively by handling all aspects of AV equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The AV Technician must possess excellent technical skills, a strong attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares A/V equipment to include the operation, inspection, preparation, duplication, videotaping, and coordination.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience installing and servicing audiovisual systems, broadcast AV system or similar technology.
- Have proficient computer skills in Apple and PC-based software such as: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project. The contractor shall be proficient in Internet.
- Current familiarity with commercial audiovisual, videoconferencing and broadcast manufacturers of equipment, including some direct training.
- Good soldering skills and experience installing crimp-on and compression fittings for audio and video cables.
Preferred or Desired experience, knowledge, skills,abilities (Optional depending on position requirements.)
- Microsoft, WebEx, and other core programs.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- Public Trust
- High School or Equivalent.
Post-Secondary Education to include Certification, Vocational or 2-year College Degree
