Primary Function:
The Audio Engineer will oversee all areas of Bellevue Heights Church pertaining to audio, visual, lighting, streaming and related equipment. Serves as the ministry lead for additional technical equipment and is committed to excellence in the growth and development of technology needs at Bellevue Heights Church.
Responsibilities:
1. Audio: Managing and leading setting up live and streamed sound environments for all BHC productions (i.e.: worship services, concerts, and special events.)
2. Visual: Serve as backup and assist in visual elements and training of volunteers for BHC productions.
3. Lighting: Serve as backup and assist in lighting elements and training of volunteers for BHC productions.
4. Streaming: Serve as backup and assist in streaming elements and training of volunteers for BHC productions.
5. Equipment: Lead for trouble shooting and updating equipment for all audio, visual, lighting, streaming and technologies.
We are searching for an innovative, dedicated Technical Director to join our team and work on a range of ministries. You will work in our contemporary and traditional worship services and special events engineering live sound. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining audio equipment, enhancing audio with appropriate sound effects, fixing sound-related issues, working with worship pastors, producers, singers, and other musicians, and completing projects to specifications. You should be able to offer creative input, but also follow written and verbal instructions.
To be successful as a sound engineer, you should demonstrate patience, attention to detail, great customer service and interpersonal skills. Outstanding Audio Engineers can admit to their mistakes, think on their feet, and make effective recommendations. Be of high character and high competency.

Technical Director Responsibilities:
Meeting with clients to determine the requirements and specifications of recordings or performances.
Safely and timely setting up, repairing, servicing, and replacing faulty and upgrading equipment when required.
Manipulating and enhancing live and recorded audio.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment.
Understanding briefs and making helpful suggestions if possible and appropriate.
Editing and mixing audio to client specifications.
Improvising props to produce required sounds.
Keeping abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing training and networking with others in the industry.
Building solid, professional relationships with other artists and clients.
Must be dependable and arrive at work in a timely manner.
Technical Director Requirements:
High school diploma. Associate’s degree or other relevant certification recommended.
Record of participation in audiovisual projects is advantageous.
2 plus years’ experience with recording, editing, and mixing software.
Familiarity with audio mixing consoles, microphones, and equalizers.
Excellent hearing and manual dexterity with a creative spirit.
Ability to follow instructions and remain professional under pressure.
Sound troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Professional self-starter with a growth mindset.
Approximate Weekly Hours
Thursday Rehearsal 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM =2 hours
Saturday Worship 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM =4 hours
Sunday Worship 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM=4 hours
Total=10 hours/week
Flexible Special Events
Concerts, Summer Sundae Sunday, Easter Sunrise, Palm Weekend, Weddings, Memorials, Women’s Ministry Events, EAT at BHC, Community Bible Studies, Christmas Concert, Block Party, etc.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
