The Guest Services Attractions and Support Associate will make use of their high-quality customer service skills by welcoming guests to the Carousel attraction and safely operating the Carousel along with other exciting seasonal and temporary attractions; this includes confirming entry by scanning tickets and/or membership cards. Utilizing your strong communication skills, you will provide assistance to guests at the Zoo and while performing switchboard duties. Additionally, you will assist with mailroom procedures that incudes processing deliveries, accurate mail sorting and transporting mail/packages to the Brookfield Post Office. As needed, you may help guests with admissions related needs, accurately operate a point-of-sale (“POS”) cash register system, assist with filling the Moldarama machine and provide support in the uniform room. You will be responsible for following procedures and providing a neat, clean appearance of self, workspaces and attraction areas at all times (which includes washing and cleaning the Carousel) among other duties that may be assigned.
Position Requirements and Specifications
This is a temporary (seasonal) position. Starting wage: $15.75/hr.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Valid driver’s license required. Illinois residents must possess a valid Illinois license within 90 days of hire. Valid out-of-state license required for out-of-state residents.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School graduate or (GED) equivalent preferred.
- Multilingual ability, Spanish fluency a plus.
- Prior customer service experience and/or answering switchboard.
- Ability to operate a point-of-sales (POS) system desired.
