POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position: Athletic Coordinator
GeneralPurpose:
Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, the Athletic Coordinator supports in the successful operation of designated Athletic programs within the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of all players, volunteers, and spectators during athletic practices, games and events.
- Monitor practices and games.
- Help train referees.
- Organize and distribute Athletic equipment as needed.
- Support Athletic Director with organizing teams, scheduling and other administrative tasks.
- Coach or substitute coach as needed.
- Referee or substitute referee as needed.
- Assist in promoting Athletic Leagues/Camps.
- Fill in for absent Program Coordinators as needed.
- Assume other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A minimum of two years’ experience of collegiate experience playing sports for assigned clinic.
- Physical ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform job related tasks
- A minimum of two years’ experience teaching or coaching in assigned sport area.
- Must have visual, physical and auditory ability to act swiftly in emergency situations
Other Skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Person will be of flawless integrity.
- Bi-lingual; Spanish/English Strongly Preferred.
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
- Mandatory negative TB test.

- The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.
- Requires ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, squat, pull/push, grasp up to 4-8 hours per day.
