Approximately fifty minutes (28 miles) from NYC by train, Portledge is nestled on a pastoral 63-acre tree-lined campus known for its cherry blossoms in spring. Job Description:
Portledge School seeks to hire a part-time, salaried, dynamic certified Athletic Trainer to support student-athletes in grades 5 -12. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of Athletic Training student support including but not limited to; ordering supplies, administering SCAT and IMPACT testing to athletes, communicating with parents and school nurses regarding injuries, student injury rehabilitation during the school day, games and practices, on-site training, labeling, and filling water bottles. The position will report to the Athletic Director and work between the hours of 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose student-athlete injuries during games and practices.
Work with school doctor, following RTP protocols, emergency care, preventive measures, taping and bracing, disposing of hazardous materials, and following OSHA guidelines.
Maintain ongoing awareness of student’s existing medical conditions and collaborate with school nurses regarding conditions and injuries throughout the school year.
Attend all faculty and department meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA Degree minimum, MA Degree preferred
NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
Licensed in the state of New York
Current CPR/AED certification
Flexibility to work nights and weekends regularly.

Pay Range:
$63,000 - $70,000 per year
