About the Role:
Responsible for the conduct of a broad range of in vitro drug metabolism and drug transport studies. Coordinates the outsourcing and data reporting of DMPK assays. Supports the quantitative evaluation of DMPK properties of new drug candidates through the application of state-of-the-art knowledge in at least one DMPK core competency (instrumental analysis and automation, enzymology, or cell culture)
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Executes in vitro drug metabolism studies and/or drug permeability and transport studies
  • Manages outsourcing of in vitro DMPK studies
  • Works with senior colleagues to implement novel methodologies to characterize DMPK properties of drug candidates
  • Peer QC lab notebooks, study reports and regulatory submission DMPK contributions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in biology, chemistry, or related science and 2+ years of experience in a DMPK or biology laboratory, including hands-on experience with DMPK-related technology and methodologies such as: automation, tissue/cell culture, and LC-MS/MS, OR
  • MS/MA degree in biology, chemistry, or related science and Some industry experience noted above preferred OR
  • PhD or equivalent in biology, chemistry, or related science Some research/lab experience preferred
  • Detail oriented and developing understanding of scientific impact on broader team objectives
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Developing problem-solving, analytical thinking skills
  • Developing strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge in at least one DMPK job-relevant core competency (instrumental analysis and automation, enzymology, or cell culture)
  • Developing understanding of project / group goals and methods
  • Developing the ability to recognize anomalous and inconsistent results and interprets experimental outcomes
  • Developing knowledge of one or more scientific disciplines, becoming expert in one discipline
  • Developing strong knowledge of scientific principles, methods and techniques
  • Ability to work with a variety of laboratory instrumentation and related software

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $86,200.00-$125,050.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
