About the Role
We're seeking Associate Salesforce Developersto help modernize and enhance an existing enterprise system that connects healthcare providers directly with millions of US veterans seeking clinical care. Under the guidance of senior developers, you will contribute to the customization, configuration, and integration of Salesforce applications to support business processes and objectives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement in Salesforce development, with exposure to a variety of projects and technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in designing and implementing custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce development tools.
- Collaborate with senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Support the integration of Salesforce with third-party systems and applications using APIs, web services, and middleware tools.
- Assist in data migration, transformation, and synchronization activities to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.
- Participate in unit testing, code reviews, and quality assurance processes to validate the functionality, performance, and security of Salesforce solutions.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, working with the team to implement effective solutions.
- Document technical designs, code changes, and implementation details to maintain an accurate and up-to-date knowledge base.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, administrators, and testers, to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Basic understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts and languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
- Exposure to web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
- Knowledge of Salesforce platform fundamentals, including data model, security model, and declarative customization options.
- Salesforce Developer certification (Platform Developer I) preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in Salesforce development and technology.
- Experience with Copado is a plus.
- Ability to produce quality technical documentation and analysis
- Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
