Description

Technicians are responsible for the health and welfare of research animals for the Cancer Center, maintenance of a clean and safe facility, and providing technical support when requested by the research staff. The staff works together to ensure provision of excellent care for the animals; as well as compliance with all regulations, internal policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP).

Required Qualifications:

  • Within 18 months of hire American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6 months Experience working with animals, especially in a research setting.
