About This Job:
An Associate Project Engineer can normally be found in the field, taking a hands-on approach to project tasks. The role of an Associate Project Engineer is to assist Project Engineers & Senior Project Engineers drive projects to completion through hands-on support while absorbing as much information as possible.
Associate Project Engineers will work closely with P.E. and Sr. P.E. to learn a basic understanding of Network Right core AV tools (Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets). While learning the basic software we deploy, they will also be introduced to basic handyman responsibilities (such as mounting TVs, running lines, hardware installation, network racking, etc.). A successful Associate Project Engineer will provide value by delivering high quality work to our clients, while developing their career by constantly implementing IT and handyman solutions in new and diverse environments, gaining exposure to new software and equipment.
This is an onsite/field position in San Francisco. This position will start off part-time with the opportunity to convert to full-time.
What You’ll Do:
Learn and understand common AV Software.
Learn how to mount various equipment (TVs, cameras, security cameras, server racks, etc.).
Learn how to complete a project start to finish.
Ensure delivery of high quality and excellent work.
Shadowing walkthrough until confident enough to take point on a walkthrough.
Supporting all incoming projects.
About You:
Willingness and eagerness to learn.
Basic understanding of power tools.
Background knowledge of IT principles or interest in tech.
Resourceful, with the ability to ask for help when needed.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs by yourself.
Comfortability with heights and working in small spaces.
Willingness to work outside of normal working hours.
Comfortable using their car for transportation to and from projects.
High school diploma or equivalent.
