Associate Product Manager - Hybrid
ClubLabs is the digital acceleration team for Automobile Club of Southern California, also known as, AAA. We are the team responsible for building intuitive customer experiences across the organization's insurance, membership, financial, emergency roadside, and travel services. We're a team of engineers, designers, researchers, and Product Managers within AAA delivering maximum value to our members and business for a smarter future.
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for updating the travel website and associated digital technologies and integrations, with the goal of improving travel sales and the customer experience. This person will also provide input to Product Managers in defining the vision for the travel website by researching, collecting, and analyzing data about the market, the customer, and the problems they need solved for large initiatives that high degree of complexity.
For smaller roadmap items, the position will define the product requirements, track the requirements in Jira, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the requirements are communicated and accepted by stakeholders, and are delivered on-time and with a high degree of quality.
This position will also work closely with the analytics team to ensure goals and KPI are met and will also use tools like Quantum Metric and Medallia to identify issues and opportunities and track improvements.
Travel is a fast-paced and evolving space, and we are looking for a self-starter and a quick learner who can jump in and start contributing.
What You Will Do
- Research the market, the customer, and the problems they need solved by gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. Use insights from research and analysis to inform the product vision, roadmap, and strategy, in order to increase the value of current products and/or introduce new product/service opportunities.
- Work with multiple areas of the organization to ensure the development, execution, and success of all product line initiatives. Coordinate and communicate product vision, roadmap, and strategy with all stakeholders. Collaborate with product development, user experience, and content teams to incrementally deliver on the product vision.
- Identify, monitor, and evaluate progress against company goals. Identify, monitor, and analyze key business metrics (e.g., sales, leads, etc.) for your products. Identify, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the experience of using your products (e.g., satisfaction, visits per month, monthly active users, etc.)
- Cultivate relationships with external vendors, partners, and resources in the development of products.
What You Will Need
- Four-year college degree (marketing, MS&IS, business, management, psychology, HCI, Human Factors, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
- 0 to 2 years of related experience (Product management, UX design, UX research, product owner).
- Some experience performing user experience research using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Experience in one or more of these preferred: SEO, paid search, display, mobile, content marketing, email.
- Experience with web analytics preferred.
- Experience with Insurance/Travel/Discount/Automotive/Membership products and operations highly desired.
- Strategic, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written, including authorship of product-related documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, and senior executives.
- Advanced ability to think strategically and transform strategy into actionable plans.
- Clear understanding of UI/UX design and the basic principles of usability.
- Ability to compile, analyze and interpret statistical data.
- Advanced organization, planning, and problem resolution skills required.
- Understanding of conversion optimization, funnel analysis, A/B testing.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$82,100.00 - $109,500.00
