The Role
Emergent Media is seeking an Associate Producer with a passion for social media and digital content to join our creative, highly collaborative Production team. This individual will support our team of creative producers, editors, social media managers, and content creators to bring unique stories to life in a social-first way across our portfolio of digital media brands.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a production coordinator/assistant, having worked in all aspects of production (from planning to on-set to post-production). Excellent time management and organization skills are also key to this role, as the Associate Producer will support with planning shoots; communicating and coordinating with our robust creator network; handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines to help support and streamline workflows and prioritize requests.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Reporting to our Executive Producer, this role will be responsible for the coordination and booking of crews/travel, and other administrative and/or creative support
• Support, schedule and/or organize shoots in relation to needs of creative, under the direction of the Executive Producer as assigned
• Act as liaison between departments and divisions, to ensure that information is communicated as needed

• Simultaneously support various phases of multiple projects during the pre-production, production and post-production processes
• Support budget estimation and reconciliation functions
• Provide research, outreach, shoot planning, permitting, and logistical coordination for our original video series.
• Serve as project coordinator/liaison for our creator network, handling communication around assignments, missions, and content needs
• Proactively contribute to the creative process from the beginning of a project through delivery
• Other duties as assigned

Experience

• Proven work experience as a production coordinator, production assistant or similar role
• Ability to work under pressure and think creatively under challenging time constraints; organized, detailed-oriented, and skilled in time-management with the flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables
• Project management and problem-solving experience desired, proven ability to take a project from start to finish
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail when organizing and supporting multiple projects
• Passion for teamwork and collaboration to help solve challenging, fast-paced creative problems
• Advanced understanding of video production, workflow, and production management
• Understanding of social media trends and video distribution in a fast-paced and ever-evolving video environment a plus
• Familiarity with all aspects of production to facilitate effective communication
• Crew network not required, but definitely a plus
• Strong capabilities with project management platforms such as Asana and the Google business productivity suite

Salary Range: $29.32 - $32.21 per hour
Temp to Perm: Up to 30 hours per week
Location: El Segundo
