Caterpillar's North Little Rock, AR facility is hiring an Associate Procurement Specialist . This role performs analytical tasks in support of the global supply network/global purchasing category management.
Role Definition: Manages suppliers by developing improvement plans and support buyers & professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations.
What You Will Do
Process requisitions and provides support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
Support customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives and to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Develop improvement plans to support buyers & professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations.
Conduct analysis and maintenance of procurement and logistics data including but not limited to: purchase orders, quotations, invoices, source catalogs, material rejection reports, tooling records, supplier data/measurement, inventory mgmt. engineered value chains.
