Baruch College seeks an Associate Procurement Director (Finance Manager). Reporting directly to the Procurement Director, the Associate Director functions as the Director's Deputy.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manages and supervises the purchasing office staff to assure all activities related to goods and services are performed in accordance with the applicable guidelines and regulations.
- Evaluates current purchasing procedures of the office and recommends process improvements; develops communication and training materials and implements process improvements.
- Manages the Board Resolution process for contracts and purchases in excess of mandated amounts.
- Advertises in The City Record and the New York State Contract Reporter as required for Tax Levy Contracts.
- Oversees the development of formal contracts, including but not limited to the creation of specifications, site visits, addendum preparation, submission of contracts to OSC,
- Acts on the behalf of the Director in his/her absence.
- Liaisons with College, University and governmental representatives.
- Takes the lead and provides expertise and guidance to user departments on purchasing and contract matters.
- Trains the college community on procurement regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
- Experience leading and/or supervising staff required.
- Public sector procurement experience strongly preferred.

- Assists in developing budgeting policies and procedures, and interprets University-wide policy
- Liaisons with auditors and other internal and external agencies as necessary
- May negotiate contracts
- May hire, supervise and train finance and/or clerical staff and manage related administrative functions

$110,641- $117,805; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
