The Planning and Development Services Division of the Department of Land Use & Transportation is looking for an Associate Planner to join the Long Range Transportation Planning team!
Ideal Candidate
The Associate Planner will support community-based and policy-level Transportation Planning initiatives. The ideal candidate understands the principles and practices of Transportation Planning, has a proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, good analytical and writing skills, and is self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
This is a hybrid position and can work remotely 2-3 days per week.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in urban or regional planning, geography, architecture, community development, economics, environmental studies, or a related field; AND Two (2) years of work experience in planning. OR
- A Master's Degree in urban or regional planning, geography, architecture, community development, economics, environmental studies, or closely related field; AND One (1) year of work experience in planning.
- Must have the ability to arrange for timely transportation in order to attend appointments and meetings

This is a non-represented position and is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment. Job share employees are responsible for 50% of the premium. Part-time regular, variable hour, and temporary positions are not eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
