Overview
The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is adding to our IT staff. This is a great opportunity to begin a career with an organization focused on promoting a healthy regional and national economy. Responsibilities
- Apply the principles of network engineering to investigate, diagnose and resolve issues. Issues may involve all types of network connectivity including wired and wireless.
- Follow network engineering principles and practices including TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and routing and switching technologies to become proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and implement network solutions.
- Partner with customers in the development of networking solutions that enable them to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
- 6 months + of experience inclusive of experience as an intern or on the job training.
- Associate degree specializing in Cisco networking, or a closely related field, from an accredited college, university, vocational school, or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.
- Experience with network design methodologies, architecture, and cabling.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated technical skills in working with Cisco network switches
- CCNA certification is nice to have.
- Perform most work with general guidance and direction.
- US Citizen or lawful permanent resident with three or more years of US residency

Salary: $62,000 - $70,000
