Form of workThe Opportunity:
The mission of the Associate Managing Director is to support M&A/TS (Mergers & Acquisitions/Transaction Solutions) Managing Directors while developing relationships and transactions within and throughout the M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) community. The Associate Managing Director should have well-grounded business and development skills/foundation and a desire to develop technical skills in the deal ecosystem. The Associate Managing Director will learn to support all related firms that influence our clients, consisting of law firms, private equity firms, investment banks, etc.
In This Role You Will Execute On:
- Support M&A/TS Managing Directors with annual revenue and engagement targets established during the planning process.
- Act as a resource to our M&A/TS Managing Directors, assist in enhancement of M&A/TS value proposition across the Hylant footprint via training, marketing, and other activities with Client Executives and staff.
- Work with M&A/TS Managing Directors to help support center of influence relationships within a region and on a national basis by establishing processes for both pipeline and solution development.
- Manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines while helping to support M&A/TS team and Managing Directors.
- Assist and collaborate on the end-to-end business development process for M&A/TS clients with internal team.
- Coordinate the completion of request for proposals and new business proposals.
- Work with Managing Directors and M&A/TS team specialists to identify strategic opportunities to secure new deals.
- Serve as day-to-day support for Managing Directors to address client communication.
- Assist Managing Directors with development of ideas and proposals for clients.
- Begin cultivating relationships within the industry.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
In This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Organization and Planning – Plan, organize, and schedule properly with influencers to build relationships throughout the M&A community.
- Follow-through on commitments – Live up to verbal and written agreements with potential clients along with continuously building new relations throughout M&A.
- Attention to Detail – Efficient analytical skills and ability apply significant attention to each individual client, to continuously build closer relations.
- Understand insurance and how it’s used, separately from and specifically with M&A.
- Understand and expand on knowledge within the M&A deal space.
- Ability to work under pressure, tight timelines, competing priorities, etc.
- Solid foundation of business acumen.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
