Position Summary
The Associate Manager – Production Control oversees daily Production Controllers to ensure compliance with Hawaiian Airlines maintenance program and General Maintenance Manual. Responsible for assisting Manager-Production Control to ensure efficient work flow and manpower utilization during heavy maintenance events and activities of the Hawaiian Airlines Technical Services. Works closely and communicates with Maintenace Planners, Maintenance Control, Engineering, Maintenace Programs, Records, Supply Chain, Line and Base Maintenance, vendors and other internal and external departments. Responsible for the administrative, training, and disciplinary needs of contract employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervises Production Controllers and collaborates with the team to develop the skills and knowledge required for successful execution and workflow of maintenance events of the Hawaiian Airlines Technical Services
- Review Daily Status reports for accuracy
- Review all calendar dates for events scheduled for HNL Base Maintenance and HATS aircraft for accuracy
- Update and distribute daily reports that outline section/area effectiveness and status of ongoing Base Maintenance checks
- Collaborates with Manager – Production Control, Manager - HMV Maintenance Planning and Base Maintenance Leadership on all incoming Base Maintenance and HATS work scopes for clarity and accuracy
- Responsible for overseeing coordination of all special requirements for Base Maintenance and MRO aircraft coming into the hangar
- Responsible for coordinating training for Production Controllers and establishing qualification standards
- Attend HNL Base Maintenance and HATS pre-induction 90/60/30-day meeting.
- Review and assist in execution of all work scopes assigned to HNL Base Maintenance and HATS during all phases by conducting periodical task card audits to confirm all work assigned has been accomplished
- Must be able to chair and/or help facilitate Production meetings with different working support groups
- Ensures all TRAX man-hour recordation requirements are met for all checks.
- Will be on-call after hours as necessary
- Collaborate with HNL Base Maintenance to develop and monitor the timelines to flow check and align workload with available manpower
- Able to access and have knowledge in the use of maintenance manuals and IPC's
- Establish standards with implementation of TRAX
- Mentors subordinates to achieve department and section goals and objectives.
- Manages new hires training, recurring training, and the performance progression.
- Manages administrative duties, disciplinary action, attendance control, annual evaluations, and initial trial period processes for staff
- Accomplish additional task as assigned by the Manager – Production Control, Senior Manager – Maintenance Planning, or Director - Maintenance Planning & Heavy Maintenance

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of Aviation Maintenance experience
- 1 years managing direct reports
- Must be able to obtain an SIDA badge
- A Valid driver’s license and US passport

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
- Boeing 717 & 787, A321 and A330 experience preferred
- Strong analytical and operational business skills
- Leadership ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a FAR part 121 operation
- Previous IAM management experience
- Experience with building and maintaining a budget
- Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat etc. preferred
