Summary
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach to design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for football program.
Design and implementation for additional Olympic sports assignments under supervision of the Director of Sports Performance
Directly supervise the Assistant Football Strength and Conditioning Coach
- Coordinate training facility cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
The following Degree is Required:
- Bachelor's Degree. Degree must be conferred at time of application.
The following Degree is preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
The following Experience is required:
- 1 year experience in a NCAA member Strength & Conditioning program, working with Men’s and Women’s teams.
The following Experience is required:
- USA Weightlifting certification and the experience of training football for 2 years
The following licenses, certifications, or registrations is required:
- Must be certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association
- Documented CPR and AED certifications
- These Certifications can be obtained upon hire within the first year and must be maintained during the duration of employment
Additional Information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have the ability to work in the collegiate setting with collegiate athletes, coaches and other athletic department staff.
- Applicant must exhibit ability to instruct, supervise, and demonstrate associated exercises in a weightlifting based training environment.
- Successful candidate must display competency to coordinate with the Asst. Director of Strength & Conditioning for Football and the Football Athletic Trainers regarding certain biomechanical assessments as well as implementation of the return to play protocols for athletes returning from injury.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage groups of diverse people.
