Support the overall strategic raw material platforming and leveraging function, enabling speed and flexibility for Owned Brand Apparel. You will work with a wide range of merchants, development and sourcing teams , as well as overseas offices and fabric suppliers to turn ideas into great merchandise.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Negotiations
- Manage forecast reporting throughout negotiation cycle. Provide suppliers with forecasts to begin negotiations and issue program award communication.
- Analyze fabric cost components and the global raw material market to provide data to support negotiations and serve as the raw material expert for garment sourcing peers
Fabric Planning & Production Management
- Conduct seasonal analysis in order to recommend fabric platforms, as well as on hand raw material inventory
- Provide flexibility through managing negotiations of chase/cancel/shift yarn/fabric inventories in response to Merchant needs, supporting speed and flexibility
- Partner with fabric suppliers to reconcile fabric usage each cycle
- Develop goals by brand/division and provide quarterly reporting of platform fabric usage to hold teams accountable
- Manage fabric supplier relationships and supplier compliance and accountability to fabric financial promise
- Identify solutions for potential raw materials liabilities
- Document and provide quarterly financial fabric promise commitment to leaders/finance
Matrix Management
- Elevate supplier matrix by evaluating capabilities, lead times, and flexibility and providing consistent feedback for SPA (supplier performance assessment)
- Support Fabric Sourcing Manager in creating fabric suppliers annual and long range plans

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs.
