Associate Editor For Print Magazines—Remote

Wainscot Media, an award-winning publishing and marketing company headquartered in Park Ridge, New Jersey, is seeking an ace Associate Editor with good project management skills. If you always get your facts straight and know how to make prose sing, you could be our next hire. You'll have the opportunity to write, edit and manage both custom health publications and local community magazines.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be excellent writers and editors with good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. Professional (paid) experience as a writer and editor is required, as is the ability to manage projects and ensure their on-time delivery. Our ideal candidate has experience with both lifestyle features and healthcare content. InDesign experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client relationships: Foster excellent working relationships with assigned clients, building trust by producing outstanding content that helps drive marketing results. With a friendly but persistent touch, help ensure that clients meet deadlines to keep projects on schedule.

Project Management: Direct all aspects of assigned projects to ensure on-time completion.

Content Strategy: Based on clients’ marketing goals and your understanding of what engages healthcare consumers, develop best-in-class features and departments for custom magazines. Create and manage related digital content as required. For community magazines, assist Local Editors with content strategy as needed.

Content Production: Write or edit accurate, insightful, engaging and grammatically correct articles and departments. Deliver final text to the design team together with photos provided by clients or Local Editors. Proofread and manage the review of designed pages and make the necessary text updates to InDesign files.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,500.00 - $44,500.00 per year
