Associate Editor

We're seeking a part-time Associate Editor for the Journal of Education Finance and the online Journal of Academic Perspectives. This role offers flexible hours, making it ideal for students and those seeking entry-level opportunities. Based in our Urbana office, the position entails up to 25 hours per week.

• Please note that you will be required to come into the office at least 2-3 times a week. You must be local to the Urbana/Champaign area.

Applicants should be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with a high preference for experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, social media, and email marketing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, proofreading/editing experience, multitasking abilities, and general office and typing skills. The Associate Editor is also expected to maintain the websites for the Journals.

Starting/training pay is $15/hr, commensurate with experience. Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter detailing relevant experience for consideration.
