The Associate Director of Operations will lead and develop a team focused on implementation and maintenance providing a world-class customer experience to new and existing customers. The candidate will build and foster relationships with strategic service providers, develop internal teams, and improve process efficiencies to ensure that the needs and interests of the company are met or exceeded.
What you'll do:
- Lead the Network Operations function for all FTTP projects in the market
- Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, city/jurisdictional officials, and other teams throughout and after the project cycle
- Collaborate with different departments within Ubiquity for end-to-end project deployment
- Manage the team's quarterly and annual key performance indicators and implementation targets
- Identify and implement efficient and effective deployment and operational methods per the latest trends in the market
- Use project management and deployment tools to accurately manage various milestones
- Manage relationships with city officials, vendors and other internal customers during the build cycle and seamlessly transition over to operations once the network is active
- Monitor and manage the network's health, maintenance, and installation schedules
- Review and manage tickets and trouble issues
- Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating and performance managing
- Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best
- Lead a team of technicians that can work independently on day-to-day operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work with other teams throughout the organization such as Planning & Design Engineering, Sales, network, and operations call centers to define our long-term strategy as well as deliver on near term needs to support our customers
- Manage and communicate the network growth and implementation timelines to senior leadership
- Be involved with vendor partners to drive best in class deliverables
Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of experience in a related field (i.e., Construction, Fiber, and Telecommunications)
- 10+ years in a leadership role involving telecommunications technologies
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends and developments within the fiber network deployment and operations
- Experience managing vendors and contractors
- Experience training and leading technical teams
- Experience with fiber testing, splicing, and validation techniques
- Experience with implementation and integration of fiber networks
- Preferred: BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Business, Engineering)
- Preferred: 10+ years of management and leadership experience developing Network upgrades and building strategies in a telecommunications business environment preferred
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Drive collaborative continuous improvement initiatives with the Service Providers to streamline and improve operational processes

- Strong data analytics capabilities, including proficiency in Excel-based analytics such as pivot tables and other advanced functions
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations to senior management
