Primary Purpose
The Associate Director of IT will play a crucial role in managing the Information Technology department. This hands-on leadership position will oversee EMR systems administration, systems administration, project management, help desk operations, and IT vendor relationships. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the security, efficiency, and integration of emerging technologies within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
IT Strategic Planning & Systems Administration:
- Collaborate with the CFO to align IT initiatives, cybersecurity measures, artificial intelligence, and EMR systems administration with overall business objectives.
- Lead the IT Systems Administrator and Project Manager in effective management of IT infrastructure and ongoing projects.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.
EMR Systems Administration:
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of EMR systems into daily operations.
- Monitor and enhance data integrity and security within EMR systems.
Cybersecurity:
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard organizational data and information assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
- Stay current with industry trends and threats, implementing proactive measures to protect against cybersecurity risks.
Help Desk Operations:
- Manage and optimize the Help Desk Specialist function to provide timely support to end-users.
- Implement strategies for continuous improvement, including training programs and knowledge base development.
- Monitor help desk performance metrics and implement corrective measures as needed.
IT Vendor Management:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with IT vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Negotiate contracts, review service level agreements, and monitor vendor performance.
- Evaluate and recommend new vendors or technologies to meet organizational needs.
Emerging Technologies:
- Lead initiatives to explore and implement emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, that can enhance organizational capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technology opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
Cloud Technology Oversight and Development:
- Oversee the acquisition, configuration, management, and security of Microsoft 365, CoPilot and other SaaS based technologies required to deliver the products and services of the organization.
- Manage technologies like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint including team sites, libraries, securities, and permissions.
- Actively contribute to SharePoint development initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational needs for enhanced collaboration.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This person oversees the EMR Systems Admin, the IT Project Manager & Systems Administrator, the helpdesk, and SCPP IT Vendor(s)
