Job Description
  • Partners with the Communications Planning Director and Strategy Director in the collection and evaluation of consumer and media consumption information, acts in a contributing role in the creation of the communications plans;
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) in media opportunities that would be relevant to the assigned brand/category and ensure that opportunities are presented and communicated to agency and client teams.
  • Has integral understanding of clients' business and objectives to translate them into actionable media strategies and plans;
  • Exploit understanding of the client's Media AOR and Reach-Based planning models to maximize the capabilities of these models in order to better achieve Communications Planning objectives and optimize media investment;
  • Oversee the consistent reporting of competitive market/media information for each brand/category, including business insights that can inform media as well as broader marketing actions;
  • Lead the process of strategic media planning/execution and serve as a resource for supervisors, planners and assistants for advice and counsel while establishing and maintaining communications process with clients, offline media teams, creative, etc. for each piece of business within the team;
  • Provide support in creating and negotiating yearly client contracts and supplemental proposals;
  • Manage account profitability;
  • Utilize expertise in proprietary tools used in client segmentation development and activation;
  • Accurately represent the client's point of view when reviewing work, leverage this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client, while providing strategic input for all plans internally and externally;
  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc. and understand/analyze the root cause of the problems to develop ways to rectify; and
  • Lead and direct the development of client presentations and other important communication; communication that is clear, compelling and persuasive.
Qualifications

In order to complete the above-mentioned tasks, the following experience and skills are required:

  • Experience with communications/media planning;
  • Experience with Comscore, Ampower, Kantar Competitive Tool, Prisma, and MediaOcean;
  • Experience with client service;
  • Understanding of key research sources;
  • Experience managing a team of planners & supervisors;
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in media and digital media;
  • Knowledge of and experience in using M1 tools to include M1 Audience Builder and M1 Planner; and
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field and three (3) years of experience as an Integrated Media Supervisor, Planning Manager or related occupation.

Itinerant Employment - Employee may be required to work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.


Additional Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $155,500.00 - $165,000.00. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. Our incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
