About Flourish
1 in 25 adolescents and young adults will be diagnosed with psychosis-related disorders, mood disorders, major depressive disorders and other related conditions every year. The majority of these families struggle for decades to find stability and a pathway forward that minimizes suffering. Yet, for 5% of these families, the journey is very different- an outcome of stability and lasting recovery. Why? Contrary to popular belief, it is not due to the genetic lottery – it is because they have access to care that works.
Flourish Health (www.flourish.health) is here because it isn’t just our story, but one that affects millions of families; and probably somebody you know too. It is crystal clear that the suffering often associated with serious mental illness is preventable. We are here to ensure that everybody gets the same access we have.
About the Role
We are looking for a trained mental health clinician, licensed to operate independently with an operational background in digital health. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the patient admissions process across multiple states. The patient admissions process currently includes verifying a patient’s demographic/health insurance information and scheduling several intake appointments including therapy, psychiatry, care advocates, and mental health guides. This work is done by the enrollment team who will report to you.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Growth leadership to create standard operating procedures for this process to be compliant with regulations and licensing requirements in each of the states that we are in. You will report to the Director of Growth Operations. You will work closely with the Medical Director and the patient care teams, who are responsible for the patient’s care once admitted.
You will be responsible for identifying your team’s operational needs and meeting them as our volume of patient referrals increases over time. You will be responsible for supporting your operational team in making decisions that are clinically sound as they schedule and re-schedule appointments. You will approach clinical eligibility with curiosity and respect, understanding that the patients referred to us—whether they are eligible for our program or not—are vulnerable and often very ill. You will maintain a desire to partner with Flourish’s subject matter experts to ensure safe patient experiences during their acquisition journey with Flourish.
- Day to day operations: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the enrollment team. This includes tracking all patients as they move through our enrollment pipeline to ensure best patient care practices. Creating processes for an enormous amount of detail, which increases in complexity as we grow. Overseeing the enrollment team in their KPI of converting eligible referred patients into enrolled patients in a timely manner, including routinely collecting and reviewing team metrics and data.
- Operational Enhancements: Partnering with the Director of Growth Operations, you will need to continuously identify areas of optimization for our standard operating procedures and work to collaboratively and creatively to find ways to improve our operations. You will also work closely to growth and product leadership to review changes to processes and identify areas of product need for your team.
- Patient care during enrollment: Partnering with the clinical team to support exceptional patient care during admissions. Our north star is doing what is best for our patients. This involves brainstorming and facilitating conversations with stakeholders from different perspectives in a collaborative manner. In this work, you will collaborate directly with clinical leaders at the company with guidance from the Director of Growth Operations.
