What You Will Do:
- Assess Financial Crimes compliance programs and implement recommended changes/controls and solutions.
- Investigate potential money laundering and fraudulent financial activity across client business lines.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of anti-money laundering, sanctions, and financial fraud investigations.
- Proactively lead relationships with current and prospective clients - both externally and internally - and establish credibility with senior Guidehouse colleagues in order to be recognized as a market leader.
- Proactively develop intellectual property and thought leadership on relevant topics.
- Participate in business development initiatives that include targeting external clients and attending industry conferences and speaking engagements.
- Leading teams on small, medium, and large engagements.
- Train and develop more junior level team members.
- Lead engagement planning and management.
- Serve as the key contact for client communications, both written and oral with minimal review from senior management.
What You Will Need:
- Located in either the NYC or DMV area.
- Able and willing to come into the NYC or DMV Guidehouse office for internal meetings when needed and work at client locations when needed.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of prior experience in financial crimes and/or financial services industry and regulatory environment. Experience may qualify from government, industry, and/or consulting.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, finance, economics, or related discipline.
- Experience conducting AML & Sanctions Risk Assessments, Compliance Gap Analyses, Customer Risk Ratings, Transaction Monitoring Coverage Assessments, or writing and evaluating policies and procedures and assessing governance and training.
- Solid understanding of corporate governance and the regulatory environment.
- Expertise in AML/BSA, OFAC, EDD, KYC, or CDD regulations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to understand the importance of privileged and confidential information.
- Ability to effectively contribute to multiple projects and meet timely deadlines.
- Ability to travel when needed.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- CFE, CPA, and/or CAMS certification.
- Broker-dealer, Fin-tech, MSB, Crypto experience.
- Strong project management skills in monitoring the billing of hours, training, development, and supervision.
The annual salary range for this position is $142,300.00-$284,500.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
