PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Associate Counsel - Employment is responsible for proactively managing potential employment related risks and advising the Company, its affiliated facilities (the "Facilities") and their staff in all areas of Employment Law. The Associate Counsel will also handle cases involving workplace safety, disability, wage and hour compliance, employee leave, workplace harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination.
The Associate Counsel - Employment reports to the Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Doctor of Jurisprudence or equivalent;
- Current license to practice law in one or more jurisdictions;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory issues in a clear, concise manner;
- Possess 2-3 years of employment litigation experience;
- Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment;
- Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels, internal and external;
- Sound judgment in responding to inquiries;
- Understands when to route inquiries to next level;
- Self-motivation with strong organizational skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames, and to adapt to frequent priority changes; and
- Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- REQUIRED: Current license to practice law in one or more jurisdictions, in good standing.
