The Assoc Content Strategy Manager is responsible developing the Go-to-Market (GTM) Content Strategy for each Collegis solution area and their supporting personas target to grow presence in the higher education space, to support sales strategy and initiatives that drive new business. This individual will chip in to the development of overall positioning, marketing strategy, messaging and creative strategic elements including: marketing collateral, content marketing, website, and sales decks.

This position drives the editorial direction of content marketing initiatives and brand positioning. Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Provide strategic vision, creative inspiration, quality control, and daily leadership for the omnichannel content marketing program.
- Manage day-to-day content development, scheduling, production and workflow, communicating industry best practices and trends across the team.
- Work with marketing leads and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of message, alignment across media channels, and quality of content.
- Conduct inventory, audit and analysis of existing content and data to inform the overall content direction.
- Create and manage editorial calendar, planning upcoming content and ensuring publishing schedule supports overall Content Strategy.
- Work with contract writers, overseeing budget, delegating assignments, fielding questions and processing invoices.
- Develop and refine as needed market position for solution sets and the organization as a whole
- Manage overall campaign and communications plan.
- Develop and implement B2B marketing campaigns to create lead generation for the sales team.
- Development of materials to ensure messaging and position aligns with overall strategic plan
- Oversee content marketing efforts to develop blog articles and content that enhances the Collegis market position to drive brand awareness
- Conduct market/competitive research to ensure relevance and provide enhancements to message
- Contribute to digital marketing and advertising efforts
- Enforces Collegis-specific style guidelines and ensures consistency across platforms
- Adhere to the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of company data and report any security related issues
Requirements
- 5+ years of Content Strategy and content creation with increasing levels of accountability.
- Outstanding portfolio showcasing strategy, delivery and results of content programs.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles behind content marketing
- Basic understanding of how to use web analytics to track content performance
- Understands SEO tactics and Google algorithms
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented & comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple deadlines and initiatives
- Ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and sharp attention to detail.
- A self-starter with the ability to lead projects from idea through alignment and implementation
- Ability to synthesize data and ideas into concise and compelling content plans.
- Ability to communicate professionally in speaking and writing, with experience presenting ideas and rationale.
- Higher education industry experience preferred
Education, Certifications and Licensures:
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communication or a concentration in writing is preferred.
