We are looking for an experienced associate with 3+ years of experience in plaintiff-side practice. Depending on your location, your position will be hybrid remote or fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Ability to plan and execute case strategy in single-plaintiff employment cases.
- Managing discovery, including drafting and responding to document discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, and supervising expert witnesses.
- Drafting motions, mediation briefs, trial briefs, and other court filings.
- Independently attending mediations and engaging in settlement negotiations.
- Arguing motions and examining witnesses at evidentiary hearings and trial.
- Working directly with clients and opposing counsel.
Experience and Qualifications
- J.D. degree and admission to practice in California.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Comfort with managing discovery and filing motions to obtain necessary documents.
- Working knowledge of federal and/or state civil procedure.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Familiarity with employment law is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work well with others, including paralegals and law firm staff.
- A drive to contribute to growing our practice representing employees.
- A friendly and positive attitude.
Compensation commensurate with experience. Pay: $145,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
