Job Summary:

Attorney will be responsible for providing support to Intellectual Property Legal Team in matters of trademark litigation and trademark prosecution, as well as drafting and reviewing IP related documents and agreements.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft documents and forms related to the field of Intelectual Property, as well as client communications and notifications.
  • Draft briefs, motions, memorandums and complaints.
  • Manage trademark prosecution on both the USPTO and PRTO, as well as copyright prosecution on the US Copyright Office.
  • Assist with docketing duties (Experience using FlexTrac® CTS preferred).
  • Coordinate events, meetings and conferences.
  • Generate time and expense slips.
  • Perform legal research and prepare internal client communications.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree and be licensed to practice law in Puerto Rico.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Strong computer and internet research skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects on competing deadlines.
  • Investigation skills using WestLaw Edge platform.
  • Previous experience working in Intellectual Property practice or academic experience.
