Description:
- Review and evaluation of creditor claims, with ability to ascertain risk
- Meaningful attorney review of claims promptly when received
- Prepare and draft complaints for filing in state courts
- Moving caseload efficiently, working with staff to move files efficiently and effectively
- Drafting motions for judgment as well as various other motions
- Negotiating and reviewing settlements
- Post Judgment enforcement
- Counsel clients on options and remedies
- A bachelor's and Juris Doctor degree
- Admission to the State Bar in the following jurisdictions: MD, VA
- 2 to 8 years of legal practice experience, including experience with consumer collections and creditor's rights
- Ability to manage a high file volume.
- High level of ability to perform research and efficiently and effectively communicate results both verbally and written, including publications.
Education:
Required:
- Bachelors or better.
- Juris Doctorate or better in Law.
Preferred:
- Associate of Arts or better.
- High School or better in General Studies.
