Prominent Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury law firm seeks an Attorney with impeccable legal research and writing skills to join the firm’s Appellate practice group. This is a rare opportunity to not only be a part of one of Michigan’s leading legal teams based in Detroit, MI, but that also offers a hybrid schedule where you can work partially from home!
The Attorney will provide key trial support and will assist the firm’s trial lawyers with legal research, writing, and motion practice.
Must be licensed in Michigan or have the ability to become licensed!
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of prior litigation or appellate writing experience.
- Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills.
- J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
- Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed.
- Former appellate clerkship is desirable.
- Law review experience and high academic achievement preferred.
- Ability to work on a team and be responsive to other lawyers and clients.
- Willingness to work hard, often on short deadlines, and open to learning from appellate lawyers with extensive experience.
- Must be willing to submit writing samples.
