Assistant Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure efficient workflow
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize inventory accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues or delays
- Utilize warehouse management system to track and monitor inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Manage fleet operations, including maintenance scheduling, fuel management, and driver compliance
- Develop and implement lean principles to streamline warehouse processes and maximize productivity
- Create and manage budgets for warehouse operations, including labor costs, equipment maintenance, and supplies

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and transportation planning
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders
- Familiarity with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations is a plus
- Experience in fleet management, including vehicle maintenance scheduling and driver compliance
- Proven ability to develop and implement lean principles to improve operational efficiency
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
