IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an AVP of Business Transformation. This role partners with Business and IT senior leadership to provide overall direction, oversight, and guidance around the strategy, governance, development, implementation, and administration of strategic business processes and technology improvements. This role will be responsible for the adoption and continuous improvement of core strategic business processes and supporting technology. This resource will drive cost/ benefit analysis and work closely with IT and Enterprise Architecture to balance the short term needs and desire for quick-wins with the progress necessary to achieve the long-term strategic vision of various insurance business units and functions.
The ideal candidate will have large complex project transformation experience guiding organizations in the use of new process and technology to achieve a business strategy. Preferred candidate will have significant exposure to underwriting and insurance operations, as well as significant experience with and understanding of technology solutions in the P&C insurance space. Ideal candidate will also have experience optimizing processes and leveraging digital workflow platforms, process metrics, and automation techniques to drive efficiency and effectiveness in an insurance operation.
This role will be expected to build, lead, and mature an optimization and ideation “internal consulting” team consisting of transformation managers, business consultants, business architects, and business analysts. This will include managing and leading existing internal employees and contractors, as well as attracting and hiring new talent as needed. In addition to building the people side of the team, this role will also be the driving force behind developing new and innovative methodologies, deliverables, and engagement models to advance the Business Transformation competency. Significant experience with user training and overall change management best practices and techniques is also preferred.
Ideally, this role will work a hybrid schedule from any of IAT's Office locations. The hybrid schedule reflects our values (thinking and acting like an owner, collaboration, and teamwork) as it requires working from the office with colleagues and other disciplines Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working remotely on Thursday and Friday. We will consider remote for the right candidate.

- Partners with business leaders to define the organization’s strategic direction and provide day-to-day guidance to execution and support teams.
- Utilizes superior analytic and problem-solving skills to provide valuable context, options, trade-offs and recommendations for solving business problems and making business decisions.
- Understands what decisions are within his/her span of control and what decisions must be escalated to other leaders.
- Identifies and aligns stakeholders; manages stakeholders and associated expectations.
- Accountable to the project sponsor and IT Steering Committee for project status, issue escalation, and project outcomes.
- Provides innovative ideas and thought leadership; but leverages a team to drive them forward and execute according to agreed upon timelines and budgets.
- Works collaboratively across matrixedteams and partners with internal and external business and IT stakeholders to meet business goals.

Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree plus ten years of related experience or equivalent experience.
- Equivalent is considered a minimum of 14 years of related experience.
- Proven knowledge of P&C insurance business models and processes.
- Proven knowledge of P&C insurance technology and data landscapes.
- Proven track record of interacting internally and externally with executive-level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters. Influences policymaking. Recognized as an influential leader.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps and plans.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative environment.
- Experience leading and managing teams.

Preferred to have:
- Commercial P&C underwriting experience
- PMP
- Six Sigma Lean Belt and/ or process engineering experience
- Consulting experience and background
- Data experience and background
- Hands-on technology implementation experience
